The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a fresh nationwide reduction in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), with petrol now selling for between ₦875 and ₦905 per litre depending on the region.

According to a statement issued by the refinery and signed by Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, the new price regime reflects the company’s commitment to maintaining price stability and easing the burden on Nigerian consumers amid recent fuel price fluctuations.

The revised rates indicate a uniform ₦15 reduction per litre across all geopolitical zones and apply to all major retail partners, including MRS, Ardova, Heyden, Optima Energy, Techno Oil, and Hyde Energy.

The breakdown of the updated price structure is as follows:

  • Lagos: ₦875 per litre
  • South-West: ₦885 per litre
  • North-East: ₦905 per litre
  • North-West & Central: ₦895 per litre
  • South-South & South-East: ₦905 per litre

Before this adjustment, petrol was sold at ₦890 in Lagos and peaked at ₦920 per litre in regions such as the North-East and South-South.

“Our quality petrol and diesel are refined for better engine performance and are environmentally friendly,” the company stated in the pricing notice.

The 650,000 barrels-per-day Lekki-based refinery credited the latest price slash to its naira-for-crude supply agreement, which has allowed the firm to offer fuel at more affordable rates despite ongoing challenges in the global oil market.

Dangote Petroleum Refinery reiterated its promise to keep petrol prices stable, assuring Nigerians that it remains dedicated to supporting the country’s economy and providing relief to consumers through fair pricing of essential fuel products.
