Diddy Donates $200,000 to Ugandan Health Centre

By Farouk Mohammed

US rapper and business tycoon Diddy has supported the Subbu “Hope” Health centre in Uganda with $200,000.

He made this donation in conjunction with Ciroc.

Famous rapper French Montana launched the initiative in partnership with the non-profit Mama Hope and Global Citizen after filming the video for his hit song “Unforgettable” in Kampala, the country’s capital.

In a chat with Rolling Stone, Diddy said:

“I’ve always said my purpose is to inspire and empower the next generation to become great leaders – and to honor their hustle along the way.

“In addition to passing the torch to French, I’m showing my support for the work he is doing in Uganda. Not only will Ciroc be donating $100,000 to support the organization Mama Hope, I am matching the donation so that our stories and successes can benefit as many people as possible.”

In a video PSA, he stated how important it is to give back to the society. According to him, giving back makes one “an agent of change.”

“That’s a core part of being down with the Bad Boy family.”

French Montana aims to continue his next philanthropic efforts in Morocco. The initiative will be linked to the release of his upcoming video for “Famous.”

The Weeknd and French Montana had initially donated $100,000 each to support Mama Hope’s efforts.
