Dikko Umar Radda has emerged as the Governor-elect of Katsina State, following his victory at the polls.

As the people of Katsina State celebrate their new leader, here are nine things you should know about Dikko Umar Radda:

  1. Early life and education: Dikko Umar Radda was born on September 10, 1969, in the town of Hayin Gada, Katsina State. He received his primary and secondary education in various schools before proceeding to the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) in Zaria, where he obtained a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics and Extension.
  2. Political career: Dikko Umar Radda is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and has held several political positions. He was the Chairman of Charanchi Local Government Area, the Director-General of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), and the Babban Janar of Raya Kanana and Matsakaitan Masana’antu ta Nigeria.
  3. Educational career: Before venturing into politics, Dikko Umar Radda was a lecturer at several institutions, including ABU and Kaduna State Polytechnic.
  4. Professional career: Dikko Umar Radda worked in the banking industry for several years, serving as a Senior Manager at FSB International Bank and later as the Managing Director of SME Bank.
  5. Academic achievements: Dikko Umar Radda holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics and Extension, as well as a B.Tech. in Agricultural Economics and Extension (Hons) and an NCE.
