Former senator, Dino Melaye, has emerged as the winner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primary election in Kogi State.
Melaye defeat his closest challenger, Idoko Ilonah, with a total of 313 votes while Ilonah got 124 votes.
Melaye’s victory has set the stage for a fierce political battle in Kogi State, as he will face Ahmed Ododo, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the governorship election scheduled to take place on November 11.
