Senator Dino Melaye representing Kogi West Senatorial has been sacked by the Kogi State National Assembly/State Assembly Election Petition Tribunal.
Senator Smart Adeyemi had approached the tribunal challenging INEC’s declaration of Dino Melaye as winner of the February election.
He cited irregularities, over voting and non compliance with the electoral acts.
The three man panel headed by Justice A. O. Chijioke in a unanimous judgment on Friday accepted Adeyemi’s ground and ordered fresh elections in the senatorial district.
