Donald Trump Reacts to Joe Biden’s Withdrawal from Presidential Race

By Muhammad A. Aliyu

Former President and Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump has responded to President Joe Biden’s unexpected withdrawal from the United States presidential race.

Biden, on Sunday, endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic candidate for the November 2024 presidential election shortly after announcing his decision to step down.

In his announcement, Biden called for the Democratic Party to unite in defeating Trump, who is the Republican nominee.

Reacting on his Truth Social account, Trump criticized Biden’s fitness for office and condemned his presidency.

“Crooked Joe Biden was not fit to run for President, and is certainly not fit to serve – And never was! He only attained the position of President by lies, Fake News, and not leaving his Basement,” Trump wrote.

Trump went on to blame Biden for various issues facing the country.

“All those around him, including his Doctor and the Media, knew that he wasn’t capable of being President, and he wasn’t – And now, look what he’s done to our Country, with millions of people coming across our Border, totally unchecked and unvetted, many from prisons, mental institutions, and record numbers of terrorists. We will suffer greatly because of his presidency, but we will remedy the damage he has done very quickly. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.”
