DSS arrests Sowore of AAC

By Muhammad A. Aliyu

Omowole Sowore, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) in the 2019 general elections, has been arrested by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS).

Okay.ng learnt that the publisher of Sahara Reporters was arrested in the early hours of Saturday at about 1.25 a.m.

Sowore tweeted a distress message saying “DSS invades Sowore’s”.

Saraha Reporters confirmed in a report that his phone was forcefully taken from him.

The news medium says Sowore’s “arrest and detention are not unconnected to #RevolutionNow, a series of planned protests against bad governance in Nigeria scheduled for August 5, 2019.”
