There were indications on Wednesday afternoon that a former National Security Adviser, retired Colonel Sambo Dasuki, has been moved to the headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Abuja by the Department of State Services.

Dasuki, who was moved from his house on Tuesday where he had been under house arrest to the office of the DSS, is being investigated for his alleged role in a $2.9 billion arms deal.

It was gathered that the EFCC had made moves to have the DSS release Dasuki to the Commission for interrogation.
Already, the EFCC has in its custody other people being held in relation to the probe.
Among those already in the EFCC custody are a former Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Aliyu Bafarawa; a former Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Bashir Yuguda; and a former Chairman of Daar Communications Plc, High Chief Raymond Dokpesi.

The arms purchase deal was struck during the regime of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
