By Muhammad A. Aliyu

The Eko Electricity Distribution Company has said power will be restored to its consumers in phases within 24-hours.

Okay.ng had reported how electricity workers embarked on a day strike which led to a total blackout in the country.

The workers had on Thursday called off the strike following a meeting with officials of the federal government.

In an email sent out to customers of EKEDC on Thursday, the distribution company appealed for continued understanding as the power gets restored after a total shut down.

The email reads, “Dear valued customer, The National Grid is now being energized following its total shutdown by the NUEE strike action”.

“Restoration happens in phases. We expect the entire grid to be fully up & running within 24hrs.

“We appeal for your continued support and understanding as we work to serve you better. Thank you EKEDC”.
