Ekiti People In Tears As Fayose Bids Farewell to Honour EFCC Invitation

By Farouk Mohammed

Outgoing Ekiti state governor, Ayodele Fayose, moved the people to tears as he bade them goodbye for the last time.

The governor’s tenure ends tomorrow.

Fayose is already in Abuja to honour Economic and Financial Crimes Commission  (EFCC) invitation over allegations of corruption.

The Governor said his farewells during a thanksgiving service held in his honour at the Government House chapel on Sunday morning.

Fayose said goodbye for most of the week, going on a tour of the major parts of Ado Ekiti as artisans, traders and citizens trooped out to say goodbye, hail him and tear up

He said that he will always be with the people and that they trust God for a better future for himself and the state.

Fayose, clearly emotional as he said goodbye, thanked the Ekiti people for their support throughout his tenure and wished everyone all the best.
