President Tinubu arrived at the Yakubu Gowon Airport in Jos on Thursday evening and was received by Governor Mutfwang alongside several senior political figures and security chiefs, including the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, and the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.
During his visit, the President is scheduled to meet with traditional rulers, community leaders, and other stakeholders to explore long-term strategies for peacebuilding and immediate humanitarian assistance for affected families.
Governor Mutfwang praised the President’s intervention, noting that the deployment of the 1,000 new forest guards will significantly enhance grassroots security, improve local intelligence gathering, and complement ongoing military operations across the state’s most vulnerable communities.
