FG says Leah Sharibu’s death report is “fake news”

By Farouk Mohammed

Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, has said reports of Leah Sharibu‘s death is ‘absolute fake news’.

The minister stated this yesterday at a news conference in Ilorin, Kwara State.

Mohammed described the reports as “It’s absolutely fake news. There is nothing like that,” he said.

He said: “I think it’s part of the opposition’s strategies to throw everything at the administration and at the President. I think every day they are realising the hopelessness of their position.

“Every day they are amazed by the support Mr. President is receiving from every part of the country and they have decided that they are going to spread falsehood, inflame passion and make this election a Muslim-Christian affair or North-South affair, but people are not listening to them.”

Okay Nigeria recalls that Leah Sharibu was the only dapchi girl remaining in Boko Haram captivity after she refused to renounce
her Christian faith for her release.
