First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Celebrates Olu of Warri’s Birthday

By Adamu Abubakar Isa

Abuja, Nigeria — Her Excellency, Oluremi Tinubu, First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, has extended warm birthday wishes to the Utukpa Oritse of the Warri Kingdom, praying for peace, prosperity, and divine wisdom to guide his leadership.

In her message, the First Lady urged for continued growth and the preservation of the rich cultural heritage of the Warri Kingdom, while wishing the monarch abundant health, joy, and prosperity. She concluded with the royal salute, “Ogiame Suoo,” expressing respect and goodwill on the special day.

Okay News understands that the message follows a historic recognition earlier this year, when the monarch, Ogiame Atuwatse III, conferred the First Lady with the prestigious chieftaincy title of Utukpa-Oritse, also known as Ugbọnẹ́, symbolising heritage, service, and royal recognition. The honour was awarded during a ceremony in Warri, Delta State, attended by prominent figures including Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Sheriff Oborevwori, governor of the state, and Ifeanyi Okowa, former Delta governor.

According to the Warri palace, the First Lady was also decorated with the distinguished Royal Order of Iwere (ROI) title, marking a memorable occasion for the kingdom and strengthening ties between Nigeria’s political leadership and traditional institutions.
