The Rivers State Sector Commander and other officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) have been recalled by the agency for cutting hair of female officers.
According to reports, the female officers were alleged to be carrying long hair and hence the cut-off.
Head of Media Relations and Strategy of the Corps, Bisi Kazeem, said the recall became necessary for thorough investigation.
Corps Marshal, Boboye Oyeyemi, was said to have condemned the pictures trending on social media of the female officers’ hair being cut off.
It was gathered that the photos, which show the sector commander, Andrew A. Kumapayi, using a pair of scissors to cut off the hair of some female officers, started trending in the later hours of Monday.
It was also learned that the incident occurred during the early morning parade, when Kumapayi went round to inspect.
