Governor Abiodun Welcomes Tinubu to Ogun State Ahead of Visit

ABEOKUTA, Nigeria – Governor Dapo Abiodun has extended a warm welcome to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his official visit to Ogun State this Saturday, April 4, 2026. The visit is marked by the commissioning and inspection of several high-impact projects aimed at infrastructure and economic transformation.

In a statement the Governor shared with Okay News, Abiodun highlighted that the President will be commissioning landmark road projects, including the Ilishan-Iperu Road and the third phase of the Sagamu-Iperu-Ode Remo-Sapade Road. The itinerary also features the inspection of the Gateway International Airport Road, the Aviation Village, and an Independent Power Plant (IPP).

Furthermore, President Tinubu is expected to flag off the construction of the Gateway International Conference Centre and oversee the distribution of essential equipment, including security vehicles, electric bikes, ambulances, and agricultural machinery.

Governor Abiodun emphasized that these initiatives are a reflection of the state’s resolve to build a more prosperous Ogun while contributing to the Federal Government’s “Renewed Hope Agenda.” He expressed gratitude for the President’s continued support, noting that the “Gateway State” is deeply honoured to host him as these projects stand as clear evidence of progress in infrastructure, security, and energy support.
