Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state spoken and revealed that he has no preferred candidates in the ongoing State All Progressives Congress (APC) Local Government election primaries.
Whiling speaking to his supporters, he stated that no candidate should be imposed on the people by government officials.
In El-Rufai: “The primary elections today is preparatory to the forthcoming local government elections in Kaduna.
“I have no preferred candidate, and I warn all government officials not to force any candidate on the delegates. Let them choose and vote whoever they want.”
He said that the APC in Kaduna would make the local government primaries an example to others: “these primaries will be an exemplary exercise in internal democracy.”
