Jos, Nigeria – Gunmen killed six individuals, including an entire family of five, in the Nding community of Plateau State at 9 p.m. WAT on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
Okay News reports that Weng Christopher confirmed the assailants opened fire on unsuspecting victims, killing the family members on the spot and fatally shooting one additional resident.
“This is becoming too frequent. People are living in constant fear,” he said.
Rwang Tengwong, Publicity Secretary of the Berom Youth Moulders, confirmed the killings and requested intervention by security agencies.
Tengwong disclosed that gunmen also attempted to attack the Rim community in Riyom Local Government Area but were repelled by local vigilantes and personnel of Operation Rainbow, the state-owned security outfit.
