Tochi Wigwe, daughter of the late group chief executive officer (GCEO) of Access Holdings Plc, Herbert Wigwe, has paid a touching tribute to her father, describing him as an extraordinary figure who left behind immense shoes to fill following his tragic passing.

In her heartfelt tribute shared on Wednesday, Tochi reminisced about her father’s unwavering support, love, and guidance, portraying him as not only a successful businessman but also a devoted and doting father.

“To my dearest father, your words resonate deeply within me. You were simply extraordinary,” Tochi said, reflecting on her father’s profound impact on her life. “You urged me to reach new heights I never even imagined. Whenever doubt clouded my mind, you would chuckle knowingly and say, ‘You really just don’t know whose child you are, you’ll soon find out.’ And once again, you were right: I’ve come to find out.”

She continued, expressing admiration for her father’s ability to balance his professional success with his role as a steadfast anchor for his family and friends.

“I could never fathom how you managed to do it all; it seemed inconceivable. Turning everything you touched to gold while remaining an unwavering anchor for your family and friends,” Tochi remarked.

Reflecting on her father’s loving nature, she recalled fond memories of his encouragement, his penchant for nurturing relationships, and his unwavering support for her aspirations.

“Your influence extended far beyond our family circle. You effortlessly convinced my friends that their futures lay in Nigeria, urging them to elevate their aspirations,” she said, highlighting Wigwe’s impact on those around him.

Tochi concluded her tribute with deep affection, expressing her longing for the cherished moments and conversations she shared with her father.

“With all my love, Mama T, aka Your Pretty,” she signed off, encapsulating the deep bond between father and daughter.

Herbert Wigwe, his wife, son, and others tragically lost their lives in a helicopter crash on February 10. As the family mourns their loss, Wigwe’s funeral proceedings, which began on March 4, are set to culminate with his burial in his hometown of Isiokpo, Rivers State, on March 9.
