Abuja, NIGERIA — President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his commitment to delivering a stable, peaceful, and prosperous Nigeria, assuring citizens that his administration will not fail them.

Speaking on April 16, 2026 at the State House while receiving members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors led by Hope Uzodimma, the President said his government is focused on restructuring economic and political systems that have hindered national growth. He emphasised that ongoing reforms are aimed at expanding opportunities for citizens, particularly the poor and vulnerable, while encouraging broader participation in shaping Nigeria’s future. Okay News reports that the meeting drew top political figures, including Vice President Kashim Shettima and several governors and party leaders.

Tinubu stressed the importance of democracy, rule of law, and respect for judicial authority, noting that national progress depends on unity and adherence to constitutional principles. He urged citizens to disregard misinformation and remain confident in the country’s direction, maintaining that Nigeria is on a path toward inclusive growth, youth empowerment, and long-term prosperity.

Addressing opposition criticisms, the President dismissed attempts to intimidate him, reiterating his resolve to stay the course despite challenges. He assured supporters that his administration would continue to pursue bold reforms and infrastructure development, insisting that he would not abandon the responsibility entrusted to him.
