Imam Muhammad Bashir Mohammed Soliu (OON), popularly known as Alfa Onida and the Chief Imam of Ilorin, has died at the age of 75.

Okay News reports that the respected Islamic cleric passed away after a lifetime of religious service that spanned several decades, leaving behind a profound legacy within the Ilorin Emirate and beyond.

Imam Soliu served as the 12th Chief Imam of the Ilorin Emirate, a position he assumed in 1983. His tenure, which lasted for more than 40 years.
