JERUSALEM, Israel — Israel’s far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir stated on Friday, June 19, 2026, that all of Lebanon must burn after the military announced the deaths of four soldiers.
Okay News reports that Itamar Ben Gvir released an official statement criticizing external involvement in national security. “With all due respect to the Americans, Israel must make it clear to the entire world that the blood of our sons and the security of our citizens are not up for bargaining. All of Lebanon must burn,” Ben Gvir said.
The initial announcement regarding the deaths of the four service members was issued by the Israeli military.
The casualties occurred within the borders of Lebanon prior to the publication of the ministerial statement.
