The Federal Executive Council (FEC) will be formally dissolved today ahead of Friday’s swearing in of president-elect Muhammadu Buhari who will form his own cabinet after he assumes power.
The session will be presided over by President Goodluck Jonathan. He is expected to present a speech highlighting his achievements since he was sworn in as president on May 29, 2011.
Ministers are also expected to speak. on their experience as members of the FEC under President Jonathan. The meeting commences at 11:00am.
He is expected to leave the Presidential Villa for Otuoke, Bayelsa State via Port Harcourt.
