Kano Emirate: Reno Omokri Commends Sanusi Over Claim of FG Intervention

Former media aide to Ex-President Good luck Jonathan, Reno Omokri has commended the reinstated Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II on his claim that the Federal Government and President Bola Tinubu, as well as the security chiefs, have not intervene in the power tussle ongoing in Kano.

Reno Omokri stated that the the Federal Government ought not to be involved in the decision of Emir of Kano, rather the Kano State Government and the judiciary are in best position to settle the dispute.

He highlighted that if there is a breakdown of law and order, threat to the security of Nigeria, the President and his National Security Adviser should wade in for the sake of maintenance of law and order.

“The intention of those who have made these false allegations is to put the Federal Government on the defensive and blackmail the President and National Security Adviser, as well as deprive them of their gumption.

There is only one commander-in-Chief and any threat to the peace, prosperity and security of Nigeria deserves his attention.” Reno Omokri says.

He added that the Federal Government has the right, authority, ability and responsibility to act in the national interest and should be unperturbed by anybody maligning them by zero-sum game of brinkmanship.

It will be recalled that Muhammadu Sanusi II was reinstated as Emir of Kano on Thursday, May 23, 2024 by the Governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf.
