Kebbi Gov Nasir Idris Accuses Influential Individuals of Undermining his Administration

By Adamu Abubakar Isa

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has made a shocking revelation, accusing some influential personalities within the state of working to undermine his administration’s objectives.

Speaking at the Uhola Festival and Agricultural Show in Zuru, Kebbi State, over the weekend, Governor Idris expressed his determination to remain focused despite their efforts to sabotage his government.

According to the governor, certain individuals from the state had intervened at the Federal Ministry of Works in Abuja to alter the road development plans he had previously submitted.

He specifically mentioned that the Koko-Dabai Road, which urgently needs attention, was replaced with the Bui-Kangiwa-Kamba Road up to the border with Niger Republic, which is still motorable.

Governor Idris expressed his sadness over the deplorable state of the three roads linking Zuru to other places and vowed to gather prominent personalities from the Zuru Emirate, including traditional rulers, to meet with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Abuja to find a swift solution to the issue.

The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting and financing the annual Uhola Festival, recognizing its significance in promoting culture for economic growth and social cohesion.
