Kidnapped Daura district head Musa Umar rescued in Kano

District Head of Daura, Musa Umar, who was kidnapped on May 1st, 2019 has been rescued in Kano.

SP Gambo Isah, the spokesman for Katsina police command, confirmed this development on Tuesday morning.

“Magajin Garin Daura has been rescued. Congratulations to the entire people of Daura and Katsina state in general. Details follow,” he said.

However, Okay.ng gathered that the district head was rescued by a combined team of security operatives after a serious gun battle with his captors who were holed up in a secluded house along Madobi road in Samagu quarters close to Sani Abacha Youth Center, Kano.
