Lagos fire service director regains freedom from kidnappers den, resumes work

Rasaki Musibau, acting Director, Lagos State Fire Service, has been released after he was kidnapped on Saturday.

According to Lagos Police, Musibau and six others were released around 11.45pm on Tuesday night.

DSP Bala Elkana, Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, revealed this in a statement on Wednesday.

The statement reads, ” On 09/04/2019 at about 11.45pm, the Director of Lagos State Fire Service, Rasaki Musibau and 6 others kidnapped on 06/04/19 at about 8.00pm, at Ketu-Ereyun, Ikorodu, were released unhurt by their abductors. The victims have since reunited with their families.

“The Command’s Tactical teams are still in the creeks and forests combating the hoodlums.”

Reports reaching Okay Nigeria says that fire service director has resumed work on Wednesday and was welcomed with a wild jubilation.

In another news, the IGP, Mr Muhammed Adamu, landed in Zamfara were he met with traditional, community leaders to discuss issues of security challenges by armed bandits and kidnappers in the state.
