Lagos lawmaker slumps, dies in Jos

Sobur Olawale, a lawmaker representing Mushin constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has died.

Known as Omititi in political circles, Olawale was among the politicians, who stormed Jos, Plateau State capital, for the kick-off of the campaign of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Presidential Candidate of the ruling APC.

The lawmaker reportedly slumped and died at the Rawang Pam Township Stadium in Jos.

The deceased lawmaker recently participated in a novelty football match organised to celebrate the 50th birthday anniversary of the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Until his death, Omititi was the Chairman of the House Committee on Local Government Services.
