LAGOS, Nigeria — Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has inaugurated what is being described as West Africa’s first multi-technology industrial additive manufacturing facility, marking a significant step in the region’s industrial and technological development.
Okay News reports that the facility, established by Arridex, is designed to manufacture industrial components and spare parts locally, reducing reliance on imported products while strengthening key sectors of the economy.
Speaking at the commissioning on Wednesday, Sanwo-Olu said the project aligns with efforts to expand local production capacity, boost innovation and support industrial growth. He said the development demonstrates the growing potential of local industries to deliver advanced technological solutions capable of competing on a regional scale.
