Manchester City Closes Title Gap After Thrashing Brentford 3-0

By Adamu Abubakar Isa

MANCHESTER, England – Manchester City has reduced Arsenal’s lead at the top of the Premier League to two points following a decisive 3-0 victory over Brentford at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

Okay News reports that second-half goals from Jérémy Doku, Erling Haaland, and substitute Omar Marmoush secured the vital win for Pep Guardiola’s side. The result keeps the defending champions firmly in the title race as the season approaches its conclusion.

In other fixtures, Liverpool was held to a 1-1 draw by Chelsea at Anfield. An early opening strike from Ryan Gravenberch was canceled out by an Enzo Fernández free-kick, leaving Liverpool waiting to mathematically secure its Champions League qualification amid mounting frustration from the home supporters.

Meanwhile, Manchester United played out a goalless stalemate against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. Despite a lackluster tactical performance where the visitors struggled to create chances, United remains unbeaten in its last four league outings and has already secured a top-four finish for next season.
