Media mogul and politician Dele Momodu has dismissed rumors circulating online about the death of Nigerian billionaire businessman Mike Adenuga.
Adenuga, who is the founder of Globacom and ranked by Forbes as the fifth richest person in Africa, is alive and well, according to Momodu.
Speculation about Adenuga’s demise at the age of 71 began trending online earlier this week.
However, in a tweet shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday night, Momodu clarified that Adenuga is in good health and remains actively involved in his business ventures.
“Ignore the fake news… The Spirit of Africa DR MICHAEL ADENIYI AGBOLADE ISOLA ADENUGA is hale and hearty. He’s right now at his desk working round the clock in support of the Nigerian economy… He just called me to thank everyone for their concern,” Momodu wrote.
