Mr Eazi Reveals Father Was Private Pilot to Obasanjo, Adenuga

By Adamu Abubakar Isa

LAGOS, Nigeria – Popular Afrobeats artist Oluwatosin Ajibade, known as Mr Eazi, has shared details about his father’s career as a pilot for some of Nigeria’s most prominent figures.

Okay News reports that in a recent interview, the singer disclosed that his father, Captain Alexander Olukayode Ajibade, served as a private pilot to former President Olusegun Obasanjo for eight years. Before his service at the presidency, Captain Ajibade flew for business mogul Mike Adenuga, transporting personnel to oil rigs.

Mr Eazi credited his father’s career and constant travel as the inspiration for his own desire for a life of global freedom. He noted that his father only recently retired from the aviation industry in November, following a long career that began in the military.

Reflecting on his childhood, the singer shared light-hearted memories of visiting the Ota Farm in Ogun State. He recalled that the former president would often gift him livestock or large fish when he was returning to school, though the singer joked that he would have preferred monetary gifts at the time.

The revelation triggered interest across social media, offering a rare glimpse into the singer’s background and the professional life of his father within Nigeria’s elite circles.
