Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima has told journalists yesterday that INEC must still conduct elections in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states because it is the civil responsibilities of citizens there despite the states are currently facing troubles from insurgents.

INEC had earlier announced that, its officials won’t be conducting elections in troubled states because of the presence of Boko Haram insurgents, but the governor says that is still not a good reason for the citizens in that part of the country not to participate in the elections. He urged INEC to please let elections take part in the three mentioned states.
