Nbari, a trailblazing community focused on advancing African creativity, has announced a series of initiatives designed to redefine the continent’s creative landscape, as reported by Okay.ng.

The organization, which emphasizes collaboration and innovation, aims to elevate African creatives on a global scale through its distinctive programs and community-driven model.

Central to Nbari’s mission are its flagship initiatives: the Incubator Program and the Campus Creativity Program. The Incubator Program is a rigorous three-month course tailored for mid-level professionals seeking to enhance their skills and connect with industry leaders. This program covers Brand and Strategy Experience, Product Design, and Brand and Information Design, helping participants develop innovative apps and projects with potential to influence entrepreneurship across Africa.

The Campus Creativity Program, recently launched at Nigeria’s Obafemi Awolowo University, provides undergraduates with hands-on opportunities to advance their creative careers. Participants work on projects that build their skills and prepare them for future job prospects through comprehensive portfolio development.

Tunde Ogunkunle, Founder of Nbari, stated, “Our mission at Nbari is to unlock Africa’s creative potential by empowering innovators, collaborators, and leaders who will shape the future of the global creative industry. We provide a supportive platform where creatives can not only learn and grow but also connect with industry leaders and collaborate on groundbreaking projects.”

Nbari is also establishing itself as a Creativity-as-a-Service (CaaS) provider, offering financial investment, consultations, and creative research to support both emerging talents and established professionals. This approach is designed to empower individuals and organizations to make significant impacts through creative endeavors. The Nbari Amphitheatre plays a crucial role in this strategy, serving as a venue for discussions on the challenges and opportunities within the creative industry, and strengthening the links between education and the broader creative sector.

Following a successful launch event in Lagos on August 10th, Nbari plans to expand its community-building efforts internationally, with an upcoming event in Kenya on August 31st. Additionally, the organization is introducing online courses that offer immersive, story-driven learning experiences to equip creatives with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving industry.

Founded by Tunde Ogunkunle, also known as Ferricool, Nbari leverages his extensive experience across various creative disciplines, including architecture, design, marketing, and growth strategy. Ogunkunle’s vision for Nbari is to unlock Africa’s creative potential by fostering a community of innovators and leaders who will shape the future of the global creative industry.
