Stephen-Keshi

The Nigeria Football Federation is still investigating Stephen Keshi following the reports that he applied for vacant job of coach of the Elephants of Ivory Coast.

The Delta State born coach was summoned to a hearing by the disciplinary committee  of the NFF yesterday, Tuesday, June 23.

Keshi has however denied applying for the job and the NFF may be forced to approach the Ivory Coast FA to get to the root of the matter.

Speaking to the media after the hearing, the chairman of the committee and NFF Executive board member, Chris Green, said they will investigate further by reaching out to the Ivorians to know whether Keshi applied for the vacant post.

“The committee has made some recommendations to the Executive board and we cannot disclose them to the Press right now,” Green said.

“ On Keshi’s part, we will investigate the issue, and take it further by going to Ivory Coast to get to the roots of the matter,” Green said.
