Anfield, Liverpool, England – Liverpool snapped a three-game losing streak on Saturday, April 11, 2026, defeating Fulham 2-0 at Anfield to ease the pressure on manager Arne Slot and strengthen their grip on a top-four spot.

Okay News reports that the night was headlined by 17-year-old Rio Ngumoha, who became Liverpool’s youngest-ever Premier League goalscorer at Anfield. The teenager opened the scoring in the 36th minute after a driving run by Florian Wirtz, curling a low effort into the far corner. Just four minutes later, Mohamed Salah doubled the lead with a classic finish off a Cody Gakpo layoff—marking only his second league goal since November.

Despite the victory, Liverpool had to weather a determined Fulham side that registered 19 shots and nine corners. Fulham’s Sasa Lukic had a goal ruled out for offside, while Emile Smith Rowe missed a late chance to pull one back. The clean sheet was a relief for Slot, as his side had previously conceded two or more goals in the final 20 minutes of games 18 times this season.

“Justice was done,” Slot said, praising Ngumoha’s “X-factor” and his ability to dominate one-on-one situations. The win gives Liverpool a four-point cushion over sixth-placed Chelsea in the race for Champions League qualification. The Reds will now look to carry this momentum into their European campaign as they attempt to overturn a 2-0 deficit against Paris Saint-Germain.
