Nigeria records 790 new case of COVID-19, total hits 26,484

Nigeria has recorded 790 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, July 1st, 2020.

Data from the NCDC showed that the cases were spread across 19 states including FCT, with Delta accounting for the highest number of infections for the day with 166 cases.

The states with the 790 new cases are Delta-166, Lagos-120, Enugu-66, FCT-65, Edo-60, Ogun-43, Kano-41, Kaduna-39, Ondo-33, Rivers-32, Bayelsa-29, Katsina-21, Imo-20, Kwara-18, Oyo-11, Abia-10, Benue-6, Gombe-4, Yobe-2, Bauchi-2 and Kebbi-2.

NCDC also announced that as of 11:50 pm on 1st July, there are 26,484 total COVID-19 confirmed cases reported in Nigeria.

10,152 patients have been discharged with 603 deaths across the country.
