LAS VEGAS, UNITED STATES — Nigerian professional wrestler Isaac Odugbesan, known professionally as Oba Femi, defeated 10-time World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Champion Brock Lesnar in under five minutes during his WrestleMania 42 debut on Sunday, April 19, 2026.
Okay News reports that Odugbesan, a 27-year-old former NXT champion, secured the victory after delivering his signature Fall From Grace sit-out powerbomb. The contest, which took place in the United States, saw Odugbesan recover from an F5 maneuver to pin the veteran wrestler.
Lesnar left his wrestling gear in the ring following the conclusion of the match. This gesture is widely regarded in professional wrestling as an indication of retirement.
Odugbesan, who was born in Lagos, Nigeria, began his career in WWE in 2021 after participating in the Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) programme. A former shot put athlete, he is a two-time NXT Champion and a one-time NXT North American Champion.
During the WrestleMania post-show, Odugbesan addressed the crowd and mentioned Roman Reigns, who is known as the Original Tribal Chief.
