Lagos, Nigeria – Nigerian actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, professionally known as Baba Ijesha, announced the birth of his son on Monday, June 15, 2026.
Okay News reports that Omiyinka shared the announcement via an Instagram post, which included maternity photographs of himself and his wife.
The actor disclosed the child’s name as King Kagar Omiyinka and expressed gratitude to God for the new addition to his family.
“In quiet ways, in unseen ways, God has been writing a story only He could tell. We thank the Almighty for blessing us with a healthy baby boy,” Omiyinka said.
Omiyinka said, “God gave me more than I prayed for. My ever beautiful wife, strong Jagaban, Abikese de mi owo, @ceolumineeofficial, who became the mother of my son, King Kagar Omiyinka.”
The announcement received congratulatory messages from fans and colleagues in the Nollywood entertainment industry in the comment section.
Omiyinka was released from prison in November 2025 after serving a sentence following his conviction in a child sexual assault case.
