Nigerian Artists Burna Boy, Rema, and Davido to Perform at 2026 World Cup

LAGOS, Nigeria (WAT) — Burna Boy, Rema, and Davido will perform at various events during the 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament. Okay News reports that FIFA confirmed the participation of the three Nigerian artists in an official announcement.

FIFA stated that Burna Boy will perform at the tournament opening ceremony in Mexico City on July 11, 2026. During this event, he will perform the track ‘Dai Dai’ alongside Shakira. The governing body’s Instagram post noted, “Dai Dai. Shakira and Burna Boy will join a star-studded lineup on the global stage at the FIFA World Cup opening ceremony in Mexico city.”

Rema is scheduled to perform at the opening ceremony in Los Angeles alongside artists including Future, Katy Perry, Anitta, Tyla, and LISA. Davido will headline the World Cup countdown concert series in Los Angeles on June 10, 2026, accompanied by Diplo’s Major Lazer. FIFA said in a statement, “Los Angeles will play host to a high energy celebration, featuring Diplo’s Major Lazer and Davido, the first artists announced for what promises to be an unforgettable night of music, football and culture.”

The artists are also featured on the official tournament soundtrack, which accompanies the event starting June 11, 2026. Ayra Starr, Davido, Rema, and Burna Boy contributed to the album, appearing on tracks titled ‘Show Me’, ‘No Place Like Home’, ‘Goals’, and ‘Dai Dai’ respectively.
