Abuja, NIGERIA — Chief Olisa Metuh, the former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has been appointed as a Director in the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), a high-powered initiative dedicated to the reelection of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
Okay News gathered that the appointment was announced on Friday, April 17, 2026, by the Director General of the RHA, Governor Hope Uzodimma. Metuh, who was once a fierce critic of the ruling party, has been assigned to lead the Directorate of Organization and Mobilization, signaling a significant political realignment as the next election cycle approaches.
The RHA was established in late 2025 to serve as the primary vehicle for disseminating the achievements of the Renewed Hope Agenda across Nigeria’s 774 local government areas. Metuh joins a leadership team that includes Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State as Deputy Director General, James Faleke as Deputy Secretary, and other notable figures such as Tunde Rahman (Media & Publicity), Sunday Dare (Digital Media), and Abike Dabiri (Diaspora).
The campaign structure is composed of 16 specialized directorates and an extensive network of zonal and state coordinators. Observers view the inclusion of Metuh—a veteran of opposition politics—as a strategic move by the Tinubu camp to broaden its grassroots reach and consolidate support from former political rivals ahead of the 2027 polls.
