Oshiomhole Vows to Ensure APC’s Victory in Edo Governorship Election

By Adamu Abubakar Isa

Former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and ex-governor of Edo State, Sen. Adams Oshiomhole, has pledged to ensure the party’s victory in the September 21 governorship election. Oshiomhole, representing Edo North Senatorial District, made this promise while inaugurating the party’s Campaign Council. He expressed his willingness to take on any role, even that of a sweeper, to ensure the victory of the APC candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo.

Oshiomhole emphasized the importance of every party member working together, from house to house, to achieve victory. He highlighted the need for change in Edo State, citing issues like flooding and poor school conditions. The Director General of the Campaign Council, Senator Matthew Urhoghide, urged party members to put aside their differences and work towards the party’s victory. The APC State Chairman, Jarrett Tenebe, expressed confidence in the campaign council’s ability to deliver victory to the APC.

This development comes ahead of the September 21 election, which is expected to be a closely contested race. The APC is determined to take over the state government, which is currently led by Governor Godwin Obaseki.
