Abuja, NIGERIA — Following the minor cabinet reshuffle announced earlier today, the outgoing Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, has expressed profound gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the opportunity to serve in the Federal Executive Council (FEC).
In a statement released on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, by his Special Assistant on Media and Strategy, Mark Chieshe, Dangiwa described his tenure as a “rare privilege” and a call to national service.
Okay News reports that the outgoing Minister highlighted the significant strides made under his leadership, particularly the rollout of the Renewed Hope Housing Programme and reforms in land administration and housing finance.
Arc. Dangiwa, who is to be succeeded by Mr. Muttaqha Rabe Darma (PhD), credited President Tinubu’s vision for repositioning the housing sector as a driver for economic growth and job creation. He also extended his appreciation to his colleagues in the FEC, development partners, and the staff of the Ministry for their collaboration in laying a “strong foundation” for sustainable housing delivery in Nigeria.
While reaffirming his commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda, Dangiwa assured of a smooth and orderly transition to the incoming leadership. He is expected to conclude the handing over process by the Thursday, April 23 deadline set by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
