Panic grips Ghanaians as Earth tremor hits parts of Accra

Residents on late Wednesday have reported an Earth tremor in part of Accra, Ghana.

According to a resident of Weija, the incident happened around 10:50 pm Ghanaian Time.

The resident said: “It started at exactly 10:48 pm. Initially, we thought because it was a rainy season, it was normal. But it happened again in a few seconds. And it happened the third time. As I speak with you a lot of families are out of their rooms trying to look for safety places.”

Okay.ng gathered that some of the affected areas include Dansoman, Lapaz, Achimota, Tesano, Santa Maria, Gbawe, Weija, Madina, Kwabenya, Nsawam, Koforidua, Swedru.

No official details have been released as of the time of filing this report.
