The National Working Committee of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has granted a waiver to Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State.
Uche Secondus, PDP’s national chairman of the party, made this announcement via his official Twitter handle on Friday evening.
Secondus said: “The National Working Committee of the PDP under my leadership has granted a waiver to Governor Godwin Obaseki to enable him contest the gubernatorial primaries of our party in Edo State.”
Okay.ng recalls that Obaseki joined the PDP earlier today after his resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The governor was disqualified from seeking re-election under the APC.
