PDP Will Soon Rise Again, Says Jonathan

Former President Goodluck Jonathan, on Thursday, said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would soon rise again despite the internal wranglings bedevilling the party.


 

The former President disclosed this at the ongoing PDP stakeholders meeting in Abuja.

He said that the party will soon overcome its challenges and begged its members to bury their differences in order to end the crisis affecting it.

He noted that the party remains a light in democratic governance and that members of the party should not insult and apportion blame to each other anymore, adding that the party will soon rise again.

As at the time of filing this report, some of those present at the meeting are Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, Governor Ayodele Fayose, Uche Secondus, Prof. Wale Oladipo, Dr. Cairo Ojougboh, and the chairman of the party’s Board of Trustees, Senator Walid Jibrin.
