Shagari’s Death: Tambuwal Declares Monday Public Holiday In Sokoto

Aminu Tambuwal, the Governor of Sokoto state has declared Monday, December 31st, 2018 as public holiday to pray for former President of Nigeria, late Alhaji Shehu Shagari.

This was revealed in a statement made available to okay by his media aide on Saturday.

The decision was made after consultation with the Sultanate Council, the statement revealed.

The state government requests the Imams of mosques across the State and the general public to dedicate the day for special supplications for the repose of the soul of the former president and for peace and progress of the nation at large, the statement also added.
