Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi is Alive and Well – Family Slams Death Rumours

By Muhammad A. Aliyu

The family of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi has vehemently denied the circulating rumours on social media platforms suggesting the demise of the revered cleric.

Disciples and close associates of the renowned Sheikh have also joined in debunking the false information, labeling it as a baseless fabrication without any merit.

Last week, speculations about the health status of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi began to surface on various social media platforms.

However, clarifications from family members and recent photographs shared online have since dispelled these unfounded rumours.

Sirr Abdullah Sheikh, one of the Sheikh’s sons, took to his verified Facebook page on Sunday to address the rumours, reassuring followers of his father’s well-being.

He stated, “Maulana Sheikh is in a good condition of health. He will be back to Bauchi today from Abuja; he will be back home this evening.”

“It is simply the machinations of some religious foes whose preoccupation is to disrupt peace and peaceful co-existence,” he said.

Echoing similar sentiments, Abubakar Ibrahim Wunti, a devoted disciple of the Sheikh, affirmed that “Sheikh Maulana Dahiru is alive. He will be back from Abuja to Bauchi today because he didn’t go for the lesser Hajj.

“What the Sheikh is battling with is old age, not sickness, and we are constantly praying to God to improve his health condition to overcome the old age, and may Allah also lead the rumour peddlers onto the right path.”
