Protesting members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, also known as Shiites, have clashed again with the Police at the Federal Secretariat, Abuja, Thursday morning.

However, five of the protesters were apprehended by the police operatives who fired gunshots and tear gas canisters to disperse the protesters.

The situation caused panic among workers, commuters and motorists who had to flee for safety, as the rampaging followers of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky, took to the streets to express their grievances against the continued incarceration of the leader by the government.
