South African rapper Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes has been laid to rest in a private ceremony on Saturday.

The burial, which was attended by close friends and family, took place at Westpark Cemetery in Johannesburg, South Africa.

AKA was tragically shot dead in a shooting outside Wish Restaurant in Durban, South Africa, on February 9, 2023, alongside his former manager, Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane.

The two had just finished dinner with friends when a gunman approached and fired shots, killing them both. The gunman has yet to be identified and remains at large.
