The governor was visiting the Emir of Kaiama’s palace as he was billed to be turbaned as the ‘Jarman’ Kaiama. The thugs hurled abusive words at the governor’s convoy as they drove into the Emir’s palace.

The governor’s security details were said to have intervened to prevent the situation from snowballing into violence. Policemen attached to the governor’s convoy fired teargas canisters into the air to disperse the thugs.

Former Governor and Senator representing Kwara Central in the Senate, Senator Bukola Saraki was in company of Governor Ahmed during the incident.
